Contest!!
New ETSY Shop
My friend Cheryl just opened a new ETSY shop! She makes flannel blankets and burp clothes for babies. They are so soft and warm. Perfect for any new mom, espically now that is is starting to get cold. These blankets are very practical but very cute! I recently gave 2 of her blankets to my sister for my new nephew. I know she will get a LOT of use out of them. Please stop by and give her a heart! For some reason I can't get my blog to work right so just copy and paste the url.

What A Great Site!
I wanted something special to give my sister in law for my new little nephew. I knew I wanted to give her a hat for the little guy because they live in New York and it gets really cold in the winter. He will arrive in early January so I thought they could get a lot of use out of it. And how cute are tiny babies in hats?? I put out a request on ETSY and Bobbie form Knittopotamus (along with many more) replied to my request. I told her what I wanted and the next day she had this adorable hat all ready! I am SO happy with it, it is just what I wanted! She has many other cute handmade gifts in her shop. Please stop by and see what she has. Handmade gifts mean so much more because you know someone put their valuable time and effort into making it for you. I plan to buy handmade this Christmas season and Knittopotamus is a great place to do it!

My New Hair Pins Now Available!
I had this great idea to make these Halloween hair pins. I thought they would be a cute and inexpensive way for moms to give a little festive look to their little girls. They came out even better than I thought! I was so pleased with them that I made more, including, everyday pins as well. Please let me know what you think...They are priced at $5.00 a pair in both my shop and my etsy shop.

Jenny's Bridesmaid's Jewelry
This was a beautiful garden wedding. The colors were pink, navy and silver. I have to admit that I thought she was crazy for picking these colors...After seeing the pictures of the wedding, They were gorgeous! I took it all back! The girls were beautiful as was the bride! The flowers were to die for, everything was perfect! I am so glad I was a part in this wedding, if even only a small part! I really hope that when my daughters get married, they will want to do something similar.
I am SO glad I was able to make the jewelry for Jenny's wedding! It was actually a nightmare...but in the end, I pulled it out! Funny because my friend and I were talking about we as artists (some of us that is...) really get a rush from waiting until or not having the right materials until the very last minute. Then we stay up late or run around like a mad person for a couple of days trying to turn out this masterpiece just in the nick of time...Any of this sound familiar? Maybe I'm the only one (apart from said friend's WONDERFUL husband). But being able to hand over something beautiful, knowing you had to pull out all the stops and top yourself in a short amount of time is somehow very rewarding! These are the necklaces I made. Jenny wanted unique, feminine, something pretty that would add to her bridesmaids dresses not over power them. She loved them and I loved that she loved them!
